Herbal face mask that you can make from your kitchen

Ubtan Face Mask: If you are a true Indian, you must have heard of thus amazing herbal face mask created of besan (chickpea flour), turmeric, milk, and rose water.  All of these skin lightening agents, when combined in a proportionate amount, can do wonders for your skin. Mix well and apply on  Leave it on your face for 15- 20 min and then wash with cold water. You will have a brightened face ready to grab attention.

Since years, the ceremony in which Ubtan is applied to the bride a day before the wedding has been so important because it makes the skin radiant and soft in a very short period of time. All the natural ingredients in the mask will not only brighten the face but also heal it from within. 

Main Ingredients: Besan (chickpea flour), turmeric, milk and rose water 

Lemon and Aloe Vera Face Mask: Next comes a very effective herbal face mask that works great on all skin types and skin tones. All you need for this one is Lemon, Aloe Vera and some extra effort. Why effort? Effort because it has to be a herbal one and you need to extract Aloe Vera gel right from the aloe leaves. You cannot use aloe gel available in the market otherwise it will beat the whole point of this herbal mask. But if you are not getting the aloe vera leaves then you can go for any brand providing 100% natural Aloe Vera Gel. 

Mix all the ingredients, apply and leave for not more than 20-25 min. Wash it with cold water and get a super cleansed, refreshed and hydrated skin.

Rose and cardamom Face Mask: If it was a hot sunny day and you got tanned. then this herbal face mask will take out all your tanning as well as your tiredness. All you need is Rose Water, Oats, dried rose petals, cardamom or cardamom essential oil. Just mix them all in proportionate amounts and rub the paste for some time on your cleansed face to exfoliate the dirt and oil. Then apply it to your face like a mask and leave it for 30 min or so. Wash the face with Lukewarm water and enjoy a relaxed, brightened face. If you don’t have home made rose water, get yourself a 100% natural one from the market. Many brands are offering organic rose water at an affordable range.

Main Ingredients: Rose Water, Oats, dried rose petals, cardamom or cardamom essential oil

Nutmeg Face Mask: Before we begin, let me tell you Nutmeg is a very important ingredient in the Indian dishes commonly known as Jaifal. You just have to mix nutmeg powder with turmeric and whole milk. Mix the paste well and apply it to your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then wash your face with water and wash your face. It is known to lighten the skin and improve the texture as well.

Main Ingredients: All you need is nutmeg powder, turmeric and whole milk.

Neem Face Mask: For a neem face mask you just have to get an ample amount of neem leaves, stem, neem berries and boil them together. After some time when it cools down add some sugar to it. Then apply the paste to your face like a mask or a toner if the consistency is thinner. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and wash your face afterwards. It will help you get rid of acne and blemishes and avoid regular breakouts as well.

Main Ingredients: Neem leaves, stem, berries and sugar.
